The Hampton Social
The Hampton Social is that classic spot that transports you to another mood and location as soon as you walk in the door. Immediately, you are no longer amidst the hustle and bustle of River North, but you have emerged within the bougie chill vibe of The Hamptons. Where delicious coastal specialties like Oysters, Clam Chowder, and Lobster Rolls flood the menu and a big pink neon sign saying "Rosè All Day" watches over you while you consume large amounts of the libation.

It's a great spot to go anytime you want to escape the chilly-ness of Chicago, but it's especially great for Mother's Day as they are hosting the mother of all Mother's Day brunches this week! As an Italian, nothing makes me happier than the menu at Bombo Bar (Part of Bar Siena). Not only do they make 8 types of Bomboloni (basically a large round Italian donut with no hole) but they also have Italian ices, house made Gelato, digestifs, and their unique Cooler Chocolates... basically a scrumptious cold hot chocolate. VERY Insta-worthy ;) BUT they even put the best of all the worlds together and make a Bombo-sandwich- yep you guessed it, their hot homemade donuts are split in half and stuffed with their gelato... mamma mia!!

And there really is no better spot to bring your mom after Mother's Day brunch if she has a sweet tooth. She'll love everything on the menu, and it can be a quick trip because they have an easy access walk up window! La Dolce Vita indeed.

Portillo's
Not normally what you'd think of for Mother's Day right?! But trust me!! Obviously we all know that Portillo's is probably the best fast food in Chicago, but did you know they also have some of the best chocolate cake on Earth?! We'll they're actually selling/delivering heart shaped cakes for Mom's special day! You can pick them up in store May 12-14 or have them shipped anywhere in the country! And a part of the proceeds go to the American Red Cross. Cake for a cause- all the better. Click on title above for more info.
