Rocking Right Now: Bad Hunter, Chop Shop, Steadfast 3/31/17

Bad Hunter

Love love this new veggie forward spot in the West Loop.  It's right on restaurant row next to Au Cheval.  Don't let the fact that it's a veggie forward restaurant scare you away if you're a carnivorous diner.  They do have some meat dishes on the menu.  Yet, it's fun to attempt to go veggie for a night, and I promise you, you won't miss the meat.  Their charred carrot dish tastes just like sausage!!  They also have an veggie burger that you can even add an egg on.  Sure to please you regardless of where ever you fall on the dietary spectrum.

Chop Shop

Chop Shop in Wicker Park is insanely cool because it's a multi-use event space.  Not only are they an awesome restaurant, but they're also a butcher shop, deli (Italian deli of course) and music venue.  You can get a great rustic and chef driven meal and then check out a cool band, or see a movie screening.  Their burgers are insane and their Italian Sub sandwiches....to die for!

Steadfast

Steadfast is a gorgeous specimen of a restaurant in the new Kimpton Gray Hotel in the Loop.  Their food (by chef Chris Davies) is just as beautiful as it is delicious.  The decor is stunning too.  It has an upscale vibe and menu, but since it's a hotel restaurant, it scales a bit more casual.  Try their insane bread menu but their award winning chef/baker, Christopher Teixeira.
