Chicagoans are beyond fortunate in that we have so many live music venues, something for everyone. Not all stand the test of time, however. aliveOne is not only a great Lincoln Park neighborhood joint/"music mecca" that has been around for 20 years, but it's also a spot to explore music if you're a true fan. Their back room is one of Chicago's best kept secrets in that it is THE spot to see Chicago’s best up and coming bands, no cover charge, or for all-out weekend dance parties. They also have 16 brews on draft and carry some of the best micro-brews around AND great cocktails. Fun Fact: The bar got it's name because they have the only all LIVE jukebox in the city.

It's an indoor music festival/ bar crawl including many of the live music venues on Halsted St. from Armitage all the way to Diversey. Some bars/venues that are features are: aliveOne, Kingston Mines, B.L.U.E.S., Tonic Room and more. Great live music, no cover charge, and great drink specials. You truly don't want to miss it!!

Bella Bacino's/ Bacino's
I'm a true Chicagoan. That means I love me some deep dish pizza. Even more extreme, I love stuffed pizza. And my favorite in the city is Bella Bacino's and Bacino's (Bella is on Wacker and Bacino's in on Lincoln in Lincoln Park). They say they use a heart healthy crust... but whatever they use, it's perfection. And my favorite on the menu is their stuffed spinach and mushroom pizza. You can even get a bambino size if you're eating solo. Let me know what you think after you try it!!
