Roanoke Restaurant
The Loop has always been hit or miss with restaurants. You either have a fast causal spot, or it's a place that's been around for 150 years. So when I found out about Roanoke, I was excited because it's a great multi-occasion venue in a neighborhood that needs it and craves it. Roanoke is upscale, yet trendy with a super eclectic and delicious "comfort food" menu. Everything from Al Pastor Street Tacos, to Griddled Jumbo Lump Crab Toast, to New England Style White Clam PIZZA! SOLD!!
But they're a great spot for Happy Hour as well as for pre-theater drinks or dinner. They even have some awesome Broadway themed cocktails. Like the Sinners and Saints cocktail that is a riff on Hamilton and the Good Witch which is a sparkly prosecco cocktail for Wicked.
AND, Starting October 1, Roanoke is launching its new “Roanoke on the Run” program, a menu catering/delivery service, great for offices and hotels in the Loop. As part of the launch, Roanoke is teaming up with the Lynn Sage Foundation "In Good Taste Campaign" for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and donating a portion of proceeds from the new menu sales in October. How nice is that!! Eating well and doing good...all at once!

Revolution Brewing Oktoberfest
Revolution Brewing is definitely Chicago's most badass brewery. Not only ins their beer incredible, but they're also putting on awesome events that really helps to spread their culture. And their version of Oktoberfest is no exception. This weekend, they're having a huge street party with bands and beers and brats! Plus when you buy your first beer for $10 you get to keep the commemorative stein and all refills are $8!!
